I'm sorry, what season is it?

This morning I got up and fed Evie at 7:30, then I decided to stay up and get some stuff done while she was still sleeping. Our blinds were all closed but the sun was shining brightly through them so I thought it was going to be a beautiful day outside. I gathered our laundry and opened the door and this is what I saw:
I was under the impression that it was Spring. I was wrong.

Do we look alike?

While we were at my house we found this baby picture of me, do you think we look alike? I used to not be able to tell who she looked like until I saw this picture. She is definently my daughter.

Random

Here are just a few other random pictures from our trip.
Our first family picture :) Evelyn usually wakes up as soon as I lay her down. But this night she was so tired that when I laid her on the counter and started undressing her for her bath she was still totally asleep.
Chase wanted nothing to do with Evelyn, which we all expected. When I got my camera out to take pictures of everyone holding her, all he wanted was for me to take pictures of him. Everytime I would try to get pictures of other people he would just in front of the camera, it was very cute.

Madisyn had a Nintendo DS and Cameron very much enjoyed playing it.

Easter

A few days before Easter I was at Target with my sister-in-laws and I had this great idea for a cute picture of Evelyn on Easter. I bought a super cute Easter basket that I thought would be big enough for her to sit in a long with some little bunny ears. I thought I could put her in the basket in her Easter dress with the bunny ears on and it would be so cute. Well, turns out the basket was too small and the ears were too big...oh well...so here she is in her dress. By the way, thank you Heather for the dress!
I just love this look on her face. She can't quite sit up on her own yet so she was starting to fall over.

Birthday Party!

Mikah and Zakry's birthday's are only a few days apart so we had a fun little party for the two of them. Mikah turned 3 and Zakry turned 2.

Zakry got a cute little backpack, he didn't quite know how to put it on at first. Mikah got some awesome sunglasses and boots.
He also got a bike! He also got a helmet, which is on his head and still in it's packaging.
Zakry got cute sunglasses too and some little motorcycles that he wouldn't put down the rest of the night.
Mmm...cupcakes!
What a mess! But oh so cute!

Easter Egg Hunt

While we were at Cameron's parents house they had a fun little Easter egg hunt for the kids.

Zakry picking up some eggs.
I love this little grin on Mikah.

Jakob showing off his loot.

He soon realized his bucket was too small and decided to upgrade :)

Cameron didn't want to be left out of the fun, so we joined in too.
Evelyn rather enjoyed the hunt...
Some of the eggs had dimes and nickles in them and Jakob was stuffing them in his pocket. So his mom gave him a bag to put them in. Well when he started taking the money out of his pockets a whole bunch of dirt came with it. The boys had been outside playing earlier and I guess Jakob had stuffed his pockets full of dirt. This picture is priceless :)

So Loved

I just have to post pictures of all our wonderful friends and family holding Evelyn, mostly just for memories sake. When I was going through our pictures I realized I didn't actually get pictures of everyone holding her that held her (otherwise this post would be about 3 times as long) but here are the ones I did get.
My dad, Grandpa Chandler, and Evelyn Our wonderful friend, Chelsea, and Evelyn. She is the reason Cameron and I met, so if it weren't for her our precious little girl wouldn't be here.
Great Grandma Burch, Cameron, Me, and Evelyn.
My nephew Luke and Evelyn. He was so excited to hold her. He even practiced his smiles so we would get a good picture :)
My niece Aubrey and Evelyn.
My nieve Rylee and Evelyn. She too was super excited to hold her. The whole night we were at their house Rylee was pretending she was "babysitting" her. She would hold her and play with her, it was very cute.
My niece Madisyn and Evelyn.
My mom, Grandma Chandler, and Evelyn.

Cameron's dad, Grandpa Burch, and Evelyn.

Our nephew Mikah and Evelyn. Jakob, Mikah, and Zakry were all super excited to hold Evelyn. Every day we were there they wanted to hold her. And when I would hold her they would just come over and look at her and say "Baby Evie" or "She's cute." Great Grandma and Grandpa Bennett and Evelyn.
Our nephew Jakob and Evelyn.
Our nephew Zakry and Evelyn.

We're still alive!

March 15th-24th we spent in Washington, and I am just now getting around to posting pictures...

The main reason for the trip was so Cameron could try to find a job. He will be graduating from the University of Utah on May 2nd and we knew we didn't want to stay in Utah, we wanted to move back to Washington to be closer to our families.

The Monday after we got to Richland, Cameron went out in search of a job. He drove down some of the main roads and stopped at every financial institution he saw, went in and dropped off a resume. One bank he stopped at, Yakima Federal Savings, the guy he talked to about applying for a job recognized him, he was the father of a girl Cameron went to high school with. They had a nice long chat and the guy said he was actually going to Yakima the next day to their headquarters and would talk to the HR people there. The next day Cameron got a phone call from the HR people saying they wanted to do an interview with him and wondered if he could come to Yakima on Wednesday. Yakima is about 45 minutes from Richland so Cameron told them that since he was just in Richland he could definently make it there. When he said he was in Richland the lady said "Actually, we'll have someone down there tomorrow if that would work better for you." So on Wednesday he went to his interview and came home really wanting the job. They said they would contact him within the next week or two because they had another person they wanted to interview. Well the Tuesday we got back Cameron got a call and they said he got the job!!!! We are SOOOO excited!!! It has truly been a blessing the way it has all worked out.

The job itself is called Manager Trainee (I think...). It means they will train him on everything from tellar to loan officer. He will basically learn how to run a bank, and then when a managerial position comes open he will become a manager.

We are so excited for this great opportunity! He starts on May 12th, which means we will be moving to Richland on May 5th. It's coming up quick and we can't wait!

2 months!

Okay, I know this is a little late since she turned two months on Sunday. But she just had her checkup on Tuesday and she is growing like crazy!

At her two week check-up she was 6 lbs 0 oz (the 2nd percentile) now she is 9 lb 11 oz (the 20th percentile). At two weeks she was 20 in (the 32nd percentile) and now she is 22.5 in (the 61st percentile). At two weeks her head was 33 cm (the 2nd percentile) and it is now 36.5 cm (the 5th percentile). So her head is still pretty small, but it's proprtionate to her body.

She smiles a lot more now. She loves getting her diaper changed and smiles the most when we lay her down on her changing table and she'll make lots of happy noises. She loves to be held sitting up and likes to lay on my shoulder.

Spring is in the air!

Today was a beautiful day! We decided to go on a walk and it was SO nice! Evelyn enjoyed the walk too, she quickly fell asleep in her carrier. Yay for spring and warmer weather!

New Pictures

These are just a few pictures from the last few weeks.

Evelyn is getting better at laying on her stomach, she doesn't get AS upset anymore :) My brother Jeff's birthday was last Sunday and they invited us over for dinner and a little party. Evelyn joined in the fun.

Evie likes to be held up more now and she'll often fall sleep on our shoulder. I love it!

This is just a random one...she's just so cute! (notice the new clothes!!! They are 0-3 months size!)

out with the old in with the new(er)

A few weeks ago I was making cookies and everything was going just fine. I turned on the oven to pre-heat, I put the cookies in, I took them out. Right after I took them out I heard this sizzling noise and then a little pop and then I saw smoke coming out of the knob and buttons on the right of our stove. Yeah, THAT is not normal. We called our landlord and told him what happened and he said he'd talk to the owner and see if he couldn't get us a new stove. As you can see from the picture below that it was a very old stove.
So here's our new stove! It's not brand new, but it's a whole lot newer and I don't think it was used very much. Our old stove always looked dirty now matter how many times I washed it down, and this one is so pretty and clean! Yay for a new stove!
