Country Mercantile

We went to the Country Mercantile on Saturday to get us some pumpkins. We had a lot of fun, the only lame part of the trip was that it was FREEZING! It was SO cold! Evelyn had her sweatshirt and sweatpants on over her regular long sleeved shirt and pants but I felt horrible for not bringing her a hat or gloves. But I think she was having too much fun to notice how cold she was. Other than the cold it was super fun!

Lots and lots of pumpkins to choose from! Which one is the perfect one??
I thought this pumpkin would make a perfect witch!
I tried to get her to pick up an orange one, but she just wanted this green one.

With all our pumpkins.

There was a little corn maze for kids and Evelyn had SO much fun running wild in it! As soon as we cut her loose she went crazy and just ran and ran as fast as she could. She loved it!
There was also a hay pyramid. Evelyn has NO fear and immedietly started climbing it. After the short stacks I helped her get to the top to Cameron.
Cameron jumped down the steps on the way down and Evelyn thought it was the funnest thing.
And the last thing we did was go to the barn with the animals.
It was a ton of fun and I can't wait to go back next year. I just hope it's not as cold, or if it is I will be better prepared :)

The library!

Every Friday at our library is story time for toddlers. Evelyn and I went for the first time with my sister-in-law Megan and her two boys last week. It was so much fun! I never realized there was so much to do at the library! In the area that they do the story time there are tiered seats for the kids to sit on and they have these foam circle things for the kids (and parents) to sit on to make it more comfy. Once Evelyn discovered them she went around collecting them and givign them to random people and would say "Sit! Sit!" to them.

Yay for free and educational fun!!!

Too smart for me

In this post I mentioned she figured out how to open the back door. Well, now she has figured out how to open the FRONT door. She can unlock it and open it. Scares me to death! We have to hide these stools up high now because she will use them for mischevious acts. (notice she is wearing two different shoes...her doing not mine)

Clothes

Evelyn LOVES clothes and shoes. Like seriously LOVES them. ALL day long she is saying "socks" or "shoes" and bringing me different pairs of shoes. Also all day long she is going in her room and finding different articles of clothing she can put on. It cracks me and everyone else up because we never know what she'll be wearing at any given moment. In this picture she is wearing a shirt and shorts, two pairs of pajama bottoms, a tutu, and footie pajamas with just her arms through :)
She also loves to wear everyone elses shoes.

Ohhhh she makes me laugh!

The Park!

The other night when I was at work Cameron took Evie to the park. He said she had SO much fun running from toy to toy as fast as she could and then climbing up the stairs and going down the slides all by herself. When did my little baby grow up to be such a big girl!?

spaghetti for dinner

Evelyn had spaghetti for dinner the other night...it will probably be a while before I do that again.

She sure did enjoy it though!

Gymnastics

I discovered that the gymnastics places around here all have a day of open gym time in the mornings. So my sister-in-law Megan and I decided to take the kids and try one out today. It was tons of fun!! For $5 the kids can run around and play on everything and anything they can find for an hour and 45 minutes. Well worth it! Oh, and we were the only ones there! It was a little wierd at first because we thought we had come on the wrong day, but it was kind of nice because the kids could do anything they wanted and didn't have to worry about jumping on other kids or being jumped on themselves haha.

Mikah and Zakry doing the miniature parallel bars.

Evelyn loved being able to climb up, over and around everything.
She also loves to swing on things at home so she really enjoyed the bars.
The foam pit was probably the biggest hit with the kids.
They all loved the trampoline that they could bounce off of into the foam pit.

Mikah was FEARLESS!! He jumped off of EVERYTHING into this pit!
We had three very tired kids when we got home!

Children's Museum

On Wednesday Evelyn and I went to the Children's Museum here with a couple ladies in my ward and their kids. It was tons of fun! Evelyn just loved running around and exploring and watching all the other kids play. It wasn't the most amazing children's museum I've ever been to, but it was a lot of fun and Evelyn loved it. We will definently be going back! Anyone want to go with us? :)

Sooo soft...

My sister-in-law Trisha is having a baby boy in January and JoAnne's was having a nice sale on their baby fleece prints so I decided to make her some baby blankets. They are so soft and cuddly!! I want to make a giant one for me to snuggle in :) I'm posting pictures of all of them because I called my mom 101 times with questions ranging from how to square the fabric to how to make my sewing machine work right, lol, by the time I got to my last 3 blankets I could do them all on my own haha. Anyway, I promised my mom pictuers of them so here they are:

Evelyn liked sitting on my lap and "helping" me sew. I would let her push the reverse button and she loved that.

Since the fabric was at such a wonderful price I thought I might as well make some girlie blankets too, I'm sure SOMEONE I know will someday have a girl...lol
