Great Weekend

My parents were supposed to come visit two weeks ago for Evelyn's birthday but the passes were all closed because of flooding so they weren't able to make it then. They ended up coming this last weekend and it was so fun to see them! Evelyn warmed up to them real fast and showed them all of her tricks. Thanks mom and dad for the wonderful weekend!!
Evelyn even showed them her nunchuck skills :)

OAR Concert!!!

Mine and Cameron's 3rd anniversary was on Dec. 29 but Evelyn was getting over her ear infections and Cameron and I were fighting colds and I had to work that night too so we didn't do anything to celebrate that night. We had bought tickets to go to an O.A.R. concert, mine and Cameron's favorite band, and that was our anniversary present to each other. The concert was in Spokane and we went with our friends Johnny and Julie, who also like them. The concert was AMAZING!!

Eric Hutchinson opened for O.A.R. I like his music and he was pretty funny.

Like I said before, O.A.R. was AMAZING! I love love love their music and they are awesome live. The only thing that would have made the concert better was if there weren't any obnoxious teenagers in front of us.

This is the lead singer, Marc Roberge

This is part of the band, there were two other guys on the left side of the stage but I couldn't get a picture of them. This picture shows how close we were to the stage.

This guy is amazing at the saxaphone!

Happy Anniversary to us!!!!

Funny Girl

Evelyn started making this face about a week ago. It's hilarious. She doesn't make any sound, just opens her mouth really wide. She'll usually keep doing it if you do it back to her.

Birthday Girl!!

I cannot believe that my little girl is one! It really seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. Time sure does fly! She has developed quite the personality and an opinion :) Cameron and I can't believe we were blessed with such a wonderful little girl. We love her so much and can't imagine our lives without her!
This is the giant cupcake cake I made. I'm not very good at frosting or making the sprinkles look very good, but i'm sure I'll get better with time :)
Evelyn trying to figure out what this thing is that I put in front of her. She didn't want to eat any of it.
Her cousin Jakob was so nice and read her new book to her. She got lots of great presents, thanks everyone!
I think her favorite present was the toy phone she got.

new hat

Daddy picked out a new hat for me today, like it?

I'm a big girl, I feed myself

"Did mom really just let me hold this?! Woohoo!"

"I'm a big girl, I can get them out all by myself, see."
"Whoops.""Don't worry mom, I'll clean up my mess."
(Just had to show off that adorable profile!) :)
"I'm going to go eat these over here now. See ya later!"
"Umm...maybe I'll just eat them right here."

S-N-O-W

I'm sure you've either heard about the crazy weather we've been having here in Washington or you are experiencing it. It isn't so crazy anymore, at least compared to the last two weeks. But during those last two weeks Evelyn was under the weather so we didn't take her outside to experience the snow. Now that she has been feeling better I have been waiting for a little more snow so I could take Evie out in it. Today was my lucky day! I wouldn't say she loved it, but she certainly didn't hate it, she didn't really know what she was supposed to do with it. But she sure was cute all dressed up :)
I just LOVE that smile!!!!

Christmas

I know, we're a little late... It has been crazy these last few weeks. Evelyn was fighting a double ear infection for the better part of the last 3 weeks. Luckily she is over it and back to her happy, playful self. She was especially sick on Christmas, poor girl, so she wasn't totally in to it at the time.

All of Cameron's siblings and their families got together at his parents house on Christmas Eve. We had a fun time exchanging gifts and playing the left-right game. Even though she wasn't feeling well, Evelyn put on a happy face long enough for us to get some cute pictures in front of the tree.

Evelyn woke up early Christmas morning with a high fever, but she still wanted to play with her toys for a minute before she fell back asleep.

Evelyn especially loves her baby doll from Aunt Tara and Aunt Trisha. :)

This is how Evelyn spent most of Christmas day.
This is how Cameron spent a lot of Christmas day :) He went to the elementary school just down the street with our nephews and his parents. They had a great time sledding on the hill and Cameron built a "sweet jump" for his snowboard.
I spent time playing with my new CRICUT! Yeah, it's amazing. Seriously the best invention ever :) My husband sure loves me :)
