Another weekend in Lacey

We went to Lacey this last weekend for my neice Rylee's baptism. It was a stake baptism day, btu she was the only one gettin baptized so it was like a family reunion for us. Rylee looked so beautiful in her little white dress. We are so proud of her!

These are all her uncles and grandpas that were there.
Here's all her aunts, grandmas, and girl cousins.

With all the cousins.
Evelyn had a wonderful time exploring my parents house. She especially loved crawling around under the table and through the chairs. She would not just go the easy way around the chairs, she had to go over and through them.

My sister got out all her old baby clothes and we sorted through them, we couldn't resist taking a cute picture of Evie buried in the clothes.

And of course, what's a trip to Grandma's without reading books with her cousins?
Cameron went to the Great Wolf Lodge with my brother-in-laws and dad and Madisyn, Rylee, Aubrey, and Luke. While they were hanging out at the water park I got to do some shopping with my mom. We had a great time and can't wait to go back in a coupld of weeks for 3 days, instead of just 2 :)

Saturday in the Garden

On Saturday we went to Cameron's grandparents house in Prosser. We had a fun time visiting and then eating some yummy homemade chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles. We also raided their huge garden for some fresh veggies.

I'm not sure what i'm doing with my face here, but that's one of the delicous zuccini I got.
Showing off the garden...and that's only like half of it.
They had these huge pumpkins that I wanted to get a picture of Evie on, but the sun was shining right in her eyes so she wouldn't look at the camera.
This is Evie's smile that makes me laugh so hard :)

Licorice and Birthday

We decided to give Evie a taste of licorice the other day, she loved it.

Cameron's birthday was on the 11th, I've been busy so it's taken me a while to get these on here. We had a fun little party with all of Cameron's family here. We had an enchilada dinner that was delicious. Evie didn't take the best naps that day so by the time we got around to the party she was pretty tired. She just sat in her high chair totally content and with her head leaning against teh side, it was pretty cute.
Look at that tired face.

Happy Birthday Cameron! I love you!!!

More Crawling

I mentioned in my last post that I had a more updated video, and it actually loaded, woohoo! This one was taken last night. It's a little bit longer and you have to listen to us in the background, but Evelyn's smile when she looks at the camera is priceless!

Crawling

It's kind of old news now, but Evelyn is crawling! She could go backwards really well for quite a while, but last Sunday, Sept. 7th, she started crawling forwards. This video is a week old but I have been trying to upload it like 3 or 4 times a day for the last week and it FINALLY worked today!! She is much faster now and get's pretty much wherever she wants to go now. She also likes to climb up on everything and is getting better at being able to pull herself into a standing position. I have a video of her pulling herself up but it will probably take another month to get that one to upload, so in the mean time enjoy this one :)

Beach House

This is the beautiful beach house we stayed in. It wasn't RIGHT on the beach, but we a very short walk away from it and had an amazing view. This is from the front of the house looking down the street.

Stonehenge

No, you did not read the title wrong, it really says Stonehenge. The last stop we made on the way home was to Stonehenge. This guy named Samuel Hill built it back in 1918 in memory to all the soldiers that died in WWI that were from Klickitat County. It is an exact duplicate in size and design to the one in England. It was pretty cool, and now I can say I have been to Stonehenge.

The view was pretty amazing from it too.

Portland Temple

We also stopped at the Portland Temple. It was so beautiful! We hadn't been back since we got married in December 2005. Evelyn especially liked all the pretty flowers :)

Air Museum

On our way home we stopped at the McMinnville Air Museum where the Spruce Goose is kept. That is one HUGE airplane. Apparently it is the biggest airplane very built. It's huge. This is the very front of it, notice that the wings aren't even in the picture. I tried to get a picture of the wings, but it took three shots to get them all. The tail...enormous.
And a view from the back.
There were a ton other planes in the museum, but I didn't feel like posting them.

Family Pictures

One night we took family pictures. I think they turned out pretty good, especially since we just used out camera and the self timer for the full family ones. I love Evie's smile in this first one. :) The Burch Clan. I think it turne out really good excpet for my bangs in my face, I'll have to figure out a way to photoshop those out. Also since we just used the timer on the camera there was no one behind it to get Evie's attention, in this first one Evie just wanted Jason's hair, it was pretty funny.

It was a beautiful sunset, a perfect evening for pictures.

I LOVE this one! My two favorite people :)

The Beach

Even though it was extremely cold at the beach we did go down there a couple of times and had lots of fun. Cameron bought a skim board and LOVED it. Our brother-in-laws, Carson and Jason, also joined him in skim boarding. The water was FREEZING, but he still went in it. Notice the sweatshirt he is wearing with his board shorts. I love this picture with the light shining through the clouds. I flew a kite while he was skim boarding, it was tons of fun. I haven't flown a kite since I was a little kid.
Cameron thought I should try the skim board. Since I would fall over if I tried to do it myself, Cameron was kind enough to pull me around on it. It was actually a lot of fun.
Apparently skim boarding is a good workout and after a while Cameron did get hot and had to take his sweatshirt off. Don't those waves just look so cold??
The next day we went to the beach when it was a little warmer and sunnier out. It was still chilly though from the wind and stuff so we bundled Evie up nice and good. Isn't she the cutest thing you've ever seen? She even kept the glasses on for quite a while, I was very surprised.
This is my crazy husband thinking it would be fun to "swim" in the ocean. He said that after a few minutes you literally just become numb from head to toe and can't feel a thing. Cameorn and Jason actually spent quite a bit of time just swimming around out there. I think they are both insane.

And I can't resist another cute picture of my baby hanging out on the beach :)

Cape Meares

After church on Sunday we went up to Cape Meares to see the lighthouse there and the octopus tree. It was a little bit chilly that day but the sun was out and it was beautiful. In front of the octopus tree.

Cape Meares lighthouse.

Depoe Bay

On the way home from crabbing we stopped in Depoe Bay and walked around to all the little shops they have there. In one of them they had these Swarovski crsytals that were amazing! This bull cost $5500! That's just insane! I didn't want to stare at it for too long for fear of breaking it somehow.
A beautiful view of the ocean.
