Well yesterday concluded mine and Cameron's 6 day babysitting marathon of my brother's kids. We watched his three little kids Andrew 6, Ethan 3, and Claire 1. He is off in Paris for 9 days and I offered to watch his kids for most of it. I have had TONS of experience watching my nieces and nephews for long periods of time, but never 6 days. It wasn't necessarilly hard, just exhausting. Everyone keeps saying "Oh, is this going to make you re-think having kids anytime soon?" And the answer is no it won't stop us from having kids. It's fine when you get them one at a time and they are yours from the beginning versus getting 3 at once and they aren't yours. It was quite the experience and I happy to be done :)
On Monday night we met up with my sister-in-laws sisters so they could take the kids from us. We met them right by the new IKEA they built in Draper and since we were already there we decided to go in. It was like heaven for me, especially after watching the kids for 6 days. It was so cool! I love IKEA! I had been to the one in Seattle a few times so I am super excited to have one only 20 minutes away!! I think Cameron doesn't ever want to go back because we spent 3 hours there (I easily could have and would have spent more time there but they closed). It has only been open a week so it was pretty crazy, plus it was Memorial Day so everyone in the entire state of Utah was there, lol. But I can't wait to go back :)

Our Celebrity Look-Alikes
On the MyHeritage.com website you can do this face recognition thing where you upload a picture of your face and it tells you which celebrity you look like. I thought it was kind of neat. I did it for me and Cameron. The picture I used for me is extremely unattractive, but it had the most hits :) I don't think that I even closely resemble any of them, but if it says I do then I'll take it :)
I tried using about 5 different pictures of Cameron and all of them came up with NO hits! It was crazy. Then I tried this one and *bam* there were a ton of hits. So if you ever do this, try using a bunch of different pictures, it's fun to see what each one comes up with.

A Fun Filled Week...
Wow, this has been one crazy week, but a great one too. I'll share a few of our highlights.
First off, I had stuff to do at work almost every day this week, that's always good and exciting and makes the work day seem shorter.
Second, we got a package from our great friend Brigham Bott who is serving his mission in Missouri. In this package was a picture CD with 200 pictures on it!!! He doesn't write very long or detailed letters and has only sent us pictures once like a year ago. So getting that CD was wonderful!! And it was so good to see that he is doing so well and enjoying what he is doing.
Third, Cameron and I got to meet Mat Kearney!!! I mentioned in the last post a little about how we won the tickets to see him. It was really cool. There were a total of about 25-30 people in the studio and he sang 4 songs and answered a bunch of questions and then we all got to take pictures with him and I got my CD signed too. It was awesome!
Fourth, Cameron and I got up at 5 am Saturday morning and drove down to Kendal's house in Marysvale, UT. It is about 3 hours south of Salt Lake. We went down there to go hiking and boy did we go hiking. We went on two different hikes. The first one wasn't very strenuous. It was a beautiful little hike up to a waterfall and had a beautiful view. It took about 30 minutes to get there.

The second hike was a LOT harder!! It was up to the top of the mountain and oh man, it was no small mountain. About half way up I thought I was going to die. But I made it to the top!! We didn't make it to the top of the one Kendal originally wanted to go to, but we did make it to the top of the one next to it. It was a beautiful and you could see forever. We built a fire and had tin foil dinners and enjoyed ourselves and relaxed before we had to make the decent down. It was almost harder to go down than it was to go up because it was pretty steep and it really took a toll on the knees. But we made it!! I was so proud of myself for doing it. About half way up I didn't think I could do it but I did and I am glad that I did. But I have no desire to do it again anytime soon. Cameron and Kendal had fun shooting their guns and I enjoyed watching them because it was pretty entertaining :)

So that was our wonderful week in a nut shell :)

A Good Day!
I know we have all had "one of those days". The type where everything seems to go wrong. Well yesterday I had a "one of those days" where everything seemed to work out just perfect. It was a great day.
Usually I don't have a whole lot to do at work, but yesterday I was buys all day long! For those of you who have spent an entire 8 hour day not doing anything, you will understand how exciting it is to actually have stuff to keep you busy. Since I had stuff to do and I got it all done I felt very productive. I like being productive. So it was just a great day at work.
When I went home my wonderful visiting teachers came over and we had a wonderful talk about the lesson we had in sunday school last Sunday about the blind man and the pharisees, and about the Spirit, and about finding your soul mate. It was really cool.
Then my amazing friend Amy called and said "Mat Kearny is coming to town! You can win tickets to see him at the radio station with like 20 other people, listen to 101.9 and win tickets." For those of you that don't know, I LOVE Mat Kearny!! (I have some of his music on my playlist below) He is AMAZING, if you haven't heard his stuff, you should listen to it, you will fall in love with it. So immediatly I turn on the radio and not 5 minutes later they announce that they are going to give away 8 tickets to see Mat Kearny in their studio. So right away Cameron and I both call the number and it's busy, busy, busy, busy, busy, busy, busy, RING!! I freaked out!! My phone started ringing!! Haha, so I threw the phone at Cameron because I didn't know what to do, lol. We totally won tickets!!! I get to meet Mat Kearny tomorrow!! I'm SO excited!! Now I just need to keep listening and call in again and win tickets for Amy.
I also had to make 6 dozen cookies for work today. They weren't easy either. It took me and Cameron 3 1/2 hours to make them. But it was so worth it, they are the best cookies ever. If you want to try them here is a link to the recipe: http://recipes.bhg.com/recipes/recipedetail.jsp?recipeId=R047565 They seriously take forever to make, but are SOOOOO worth it.
Also, for the last few nights Cameron and I have been going to bed at 9:30 and I have to get up by 6:20 and I haven't been tired! It's amazing! I am NOT a morning person and the fact that I am not tired in the morning and can just get right out of bed is a miracle. I usually go to bed by 10 but I was still always SO tired. It's amazing what a difference 1/2 an hour can make.
So there you go, that's why yesterday was such a wonderful and great day. So far today is on track to be a great one too. :)

New Hair
I finally did it! I cut off my hair, and I LOVE it!! For the last 3 or 4 months I have been talking about how I wanted to get my hair cut, and I finally did it today. Here are the before and after shots. I didn't spend very much time styling it, so I look sort of like a dork, but at least you can see how much I cut off.

I've been tagged!
Laura tagged me so now I have to do this...
I tag AMY! HA! I beat you to it, hahaha
I am: looking out the window at the sunshine and wishing I was out there instead of sitting in front of a computer at work.
I want: Tepanyaki's...mmm.....so good....
I have: apple stuck in my retainer and no toothpick
I wish: it was 4 o'clock
I hate: bee's!
I miss: my family
I hear: people typing on keyboards
I wonder: what I will be doing a year from now
I regret: nothing
I am not: good with names or math
I dance: when no one is watching
I sing: when no one is around to hear it
I cry: when I am overwhelmed and stressed
I am not always: going to live in Utah
I make with my hands: food
I write: Brigham every week
I confuse: Foothill Drive and Highland Drive ALL the time!!
I need: lotion for my eyes
I should: do the laundry today
I start: writing in my journal all the time, but never finish
I finish: hmm...not my journal entries, that's for sure.

I'm a real live grown-up!
On Tuesday night Cameron and I went over to Amy and Josh's. Amy and I made dinner while our husbands played video games. We also made cards, well Amy did, I wasn't as successful, and then we made cinnamon rolls with her new Bosch. It was so much fun! It made me feel like a real live grown-up. Amy and I always talked about how we wanted to make dinner for our husbands together, and we are totally doing it now!
I just turned 21 a few weeks ago and normally I don't "feel" older on my birthday's, but this last one I did some real thinking and I do feel older, not old, just like I am more mature. In my ward there are A LOT of young couples, but most of them are in their mid to late twenties and most of the women have gone on missions, I am one of the youngest ones and so I've never really felt like I belonged or fit in with them. But now that I am 21 I feel like I can actually interact with them without feeling like I'm a little girl, I finally feel like I belong.
While I was doing this deep thinking on my brithday, I also thought about how far I have come as a person. I would like to think that I am more mature and sure of myself. I owe this all to my husband. Ever since we first started to hang out together, even before we were dating, I have always felt that I could be the person I always wanted to be when I was with him. I never felt like I had to try to be someone else or like I had to convince him to like me. He has always loved me for who I am. I love that about him, he has never judged me, but has always been there to hold my hand and helped me to be better.

Havalah's Wedding and Other Stories
Yesterday my best friend Havalah got married!! It was amazing, magical, and COLD! By the time she got out of the Temple it was super windy and started to rain. We weren't expecting that so we didn't have any coats. It was freezing!! But Havalah and Brigg looked so happy and beautiful. It was a very happy day :)
After the wedding we went to a luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was muy delicioso. We had some really good chicken and Brad gobbled his down. Then he went over to talk to Brigg and Havalah and she didn't eat all of hers so he ate hers too!! lol, he's a funny guy. Then when everyone was leaving Brad took Heather over to the microphone and he got down on one knee and while holding her hand sang "Beyond the Sea" by Bobbie Darin to her. We all thought the microphone was off, but it wasn't! lol, so everyone heard him, it was so funny.

After the luncheon we went straight to the reception. It was in North Salt Lake up on the hill and had an amazing view of the Salt Lake and Bountiful. Heather and I were really hyper so we went outside and started jumping around and we got some really cool pictures.

After the reception we went home and Kendal was there waiting for us and Heather and I were still FULL of energy so we went to this park in the Avenues that was up really high and had an amazing view of the valley. We started jumping around again and took some awesome pictures. It was SOOO much fun!! But now Heather is gone back to Washington until August!! I will greatly miss her.
