I keep hearing the word "blog" and it seems to be the latest and greatest craze. So I guess I am going to follow everone else (even if I am a few years behind) and create my own blog.
For the past few months I have been wondering how I could keep my family and friends updated on my life. I know my family gets frustrated (for lack of a better word) with me because I never go into great detail of my life. I always give them one word answers like "good" or "fine" so maybe I will be more inclined to write more than one word about my life on here.
Although I feel tempted to just say "Life is good right now. Until next time... Jamie" But that would defeat the whole purpose of creating this. So here is how life is right now:
In the last few weeks since it has warmed up Cameron and I have been spending more time outdoors. It seems that every weekend we end up at Memory Grove Canyon hiking or walking around. I had never been there until a few weeks ago and it has quickly become one of my favorite places here. You can either walk/ride along a nice paved path (it goes about 10 miles, we havn't made it past 1 mile though) which goes along the river, or there are hiking/biking trails that go up in the mountains. It's so nice to be outside in the fresh air, especially when I am inside sitting at a desk all day. We have also been going on bike rides around the Avenues, although we don't go for long or far because my legs are SO weak! But I can definently tell I am getting more muscle in my legs. I told Cameron my goal by the end of the summer is to be able to ride to Jeff and Sarah's house...We'll see if that happens.
Cameron is busy finishing up his last few weeks of school. He is definently loving the Business Finance major a whole lot more than the Material Science and Engeneering major he started doing last semester. He is doing a great job in all his classes and I am so proud of him for working so hard.
I am loving my job! I really couldn't ask for a better place to work. I work for four guys and they have all been seminary teachers/principals, Bishops, Stake Presidents, Young Men's Leaders, etc. They are just SO nice. They remind me of my dad. I feel like I can't do anything wrong. I don't take criticism well and they are so kind to gently let me know if I have done something wrong and they understand that I am still learning. It's wonderful!
I love having Jeff and Sarah so close! Cameron and I go to their house for dinner and games atleast twice a month if not more. I love being able to see their kids so much, especially since we rarely got to see them when they were in Nebraska.
I'll sign off for now. But I am excited to be able to keep everyone updated on Cam's and mines lives!
