Okay, so maybe I wouldn't go as far as saying she LOVES it, but she did like it, no screaming at all! We're making progress :)

SIX...and a half months!
I was in Lacey when Evelyn hit six months and didn't want to post anything until after her six month check-up, which was yesterday.
Our little girl is now 17.7 lbs (70th percentile) and 26.5 inches (70th percentile). She is healthy and growing fast. She amazes me every day with how much she learns and all the new things she does.

Random
And to wrap up the pictures from my 2 week trip to Lacey, here are a few random pictures.
This one makes me laugh. I went to check on her while she was napping, and this is what I found. She's a silly girl :)
We introduced her to carrots. She wasn't so sure at first, but now she loves them.
Craig had her pose for the camera :)

Grandkids
All 10 of my parents grandchildren were together this last weekend. They have number 11 on the way, but she isn't due to arrive until December. The kids had tons of fun playing together and especially like our Wii, which is a great babysitter, lol :)
Here are all the girls.

Lakefair Parade
Heather's mom called and invited us to go to the Lakefair Parade Saturday night. We thought it would be fun...Evelyn did not like it one bit. The fireworks on the 4th of July didn't bother her one bit, she slept through all the loud noises at the water park, but she just couldn't handle the motorcycles, trumpets, and drums. She cried most of the time. Look at this sad little face :(
We were able to distract her with a toy and get a decent picture.
And finally she was her old self and started laughing. I think this picture is worth a thousand words :)

Great Wolf Lodge
Evelyn and I went with my family to Great Wolf Lodge, unfortunatly Cameron couldn't go because he had to work. When we first got there I walked into the water with Evelyn and something squirted us and soaked us and made Evelyn very unhappy. So I sat down with her and dried her off and calmed her down and before I knew it she was asleep. So I spent the next hour and a half holding her while she napped.
She woke up from her nap in a very happy mood so we thought she might like the water now that she wasn't tired and had a full tummy....we were wrong. She did NOT like the water at all! It wasn't that cold and nothing come down over her head to drench her, she just didn't like it. We tried two more times I think to see if she would change her mind, nope, she just plane doesn't like it.
But, she did enjoy hanging out in the hotel room with her cousins :)
My mom watched Evelyn while she took her afternoon nap and I was able to go on the water slides with my siblings and they were so fun, but SO scary!! It was a super fun trip, but would have been 10 times better if Cameron had been able to come.

Bananas
While at my parents house we decided to start feeding Evelyn real food other than rice cereal. We found these rice cracker things that she LOVES and then we tried bananas, lol, the picture say it all.
4th of July
We had a wonderful 4th of July! We got to spend it in Lacey with my family. It started out with a little BBQ at my parents and it was drizzling a little bit, big surprise there, I can't recall a single 4th of July that it didn't rain. Then the sun came out and we headed to the Warren's for a BBQ and some swimming. Evelyn slept for a while there and Cameron very much enjoyed swimming.

Then we headed to the Tumwater Golf Course. I guess every year they have a big carnival type thing with tons of blow up bouncy toys for kids and then fireworks. We saw Laura and Logan and Kason there. It was SO much fun. As you can see in the picture Evelyn and Kason got a long just fine :) But they wouldn't look at the camera for me.

It was a really nice day but it was starting to get a little chillie for Evelyn so we put her sweatpants on and I jsut thought this picture was cute :)

Just before the fireworks started there were skydivers that came down, it was cool to watch, but made me never want to skydive. It made me sick just watching them. There were four of them and they landed in this special zone where kids had placed paper plates with their names on them and the skydivers picked their plate they one a prize, unfortunatley we didn't win...but it was still cool to watch.
I got an elephant ear, that was my highlight of the day, lol, they're soooooo good! :)
And then of course there were fireworks, Evelyn loved them!
