More Pictures

Since I haven't updated my blog in so long here are some pictures of Evelyn from the last few weeks.

Funky Bodies

While we were in Lacey we also discovered some wierd things about our bodies. Cameron was sitting at the table across from my dad and for some reason stuck his arms out and my dad says "You have really wierd arms." We all laughed and then made him stick his arms out again so we could see for ourselves, and it's true, Cameron has wierd arms. I don't know if you can tell from the picture just how wierd they are, but they stick up after his elbow.

After we looked at Cameron's arms my dad showed us his wierd pinky and thumb.

And then I held out my arms to see if they were wierd and we discovered that I have wierd hands that go down at the wrist when I stick them out straight.

It was a pretty exciting evening :)

Memorial Day Weekend

For the long weekend we decided we would head over to Lacey and spend time with my family. Cameron was working in Yakima that day and it's on the way to Lacey so his parents drove me and Evie to Yakima so we could leave from there on Friday as soon as Cameron got off work. While we were sitting parked (legally) in front of the bank waiting for Cameron to get done, some not so smart driver managed to hit our car with his big F-250 while trying to parallel park. Not only were we extremely upset that he hit out car and managed to rip the entire front bumper off, but there was NO reason why it should have happened. One, there were about three car spaces between where he was pulling into and the next car, so he had PLENTY of room and didn't need to pull in so sharp. And two, he was pulling into a no parking zone, so he shouldn't have even been trying to park there in the first place. Luckily he was a nice guy and has insurance and they are going to take care of it all. And it didn't hurt the engine or anything, it just ripped the bumber off which is now duct taped to the car. Needless to say, our weekend didn't get off to a great start.
Once we got to Lacey though we had a great time! I was having so much fun that I forgot to take very many pictures, lol. Cameron went golfing with my brother-in-law and my dad and I got to go shopping with my mom. The rest of the time we just hung out at home or my sisters and got to just be with family. It was wonderful :)

Here are a few pictures I did get.
Craig teaching Luke how to throw a football.
The other kids playing on the swing set in my parents backyard.

Carie making Evelyn smile. Carie was really good at making Evelyn laugh really hard, it was so cute!

Retraction

I would like to make a retraction to my "Horse back riding!" entry. My wonderful brother-in-law that took us horse back riding is NOT from BENTON City, but is from BASIN City. Apparently there is HUGE difference. People from Benton City are known as being from "Bentucky" and they are all rednecks.

Sorry Jason, I will not make that mistake again :)

Horse back riding!

Cameron's brother-in-law grew up on an orchard out in Benton City and his parents have horses. I have been telling Cameron that I want to go horse back riding for the longest time and he kept telling me that Jason has horses (that's his brother-in-law). The other day he mentioned that I wanted to go riding and I guess Jason told his parents and they invited us out there the other day. It was SO much fun!! I loved it! I got to ride Charlie, he's one of their oldest and most well behaved, and Cameron rode Princess. Princess wanted to take the lead so it was pretty funny watching Cameron trying to slow her down, but he stayed about 50 yards in front of me and Jason. I can't wait to go again!

to the river we go...

Friday night we went to a park (I don't remember the name) down on the Columbia River. It was about 98 degrees that day so the evening was really nice. There is a huge park that is brand new and they have these huge fish sculptures, so we took a couple of pictures on this giant Sturgeon. There is a nice paved path that goes for about 5 miles right along the bank of the river, we walked about a mile that night and got a beautiful picture of the sunset.

Full Diaper?

I was getting Evelyn ready for bed last night and when I took her pants off I noticed that two of the three buttons were undone on her onesie. So I had to put a picture of it one here (I also just wanted another excuse to put a cute picture of her on here.) :) Her diaper was so full the onesie came unsnapped, I thought it was pretty funny. I promise I change my babies diaper, she just has more bowel movements than any other baby i'm sure, and I just can't keep up with it.

Sleepy Girl

These are just a few cute pictures of Evelyn sleeping. She's getting smarter now and doesn't just fall alseep laying in my arms anymore, she fights it now. So I have to trick her and get her to fall asleep sitting up in my arms, I'm very sneaky :)

Megan got her to sleep in her arms.
Cameron and I ran to the store while his parents watched Evelyn for us, when we got back she was asleep in her swing holding onto her toy like this, it was so cute.

This morning I was checking on her while she was asleep and just as I walked in she turned her head towards me and her binkie was stuck to her cheek, lol, it was so funny. The funniest part was that the rubber wasn't stuck to her cheek, if you look closely you can see that her cheek is squished between the plastic part and the rubber.

Our blessed little baby.

So we finally blessed our little Evelyn. We were waiting for when we knew both my parents and Cameron's parents would be in Utah, and since Cameron was graduating and we were moving this last weekend it was a perfect time for Cameron's parents to come down. We had so much family and friends there it was wonderful. Evelyn is definently a very loved little girl. There were two other blessings in our ward that day so there were TONS of people in the chapel.

After the blessing we had a BBQ at my brother's house. Evelyn was so warn out she took a little nap while everyone was talking and enjoying themselves around her.
We love our little girl!

These are all the family and friends that attended her blessing (plus I had one more aunt and uncle but they had to leave early).

Class of '08

Cameron gradutated from the University of Utah on May 2. Woohoo!! It was an event we had very much been looking forward to for a long time. Since October Cameron has been working graveyard (9 pm to 5:30 am) so we could have insurance and he could go to school during the day. This last semester he was taking a full load at school so he could graduate. Not to mention the birth of our baby and his sinus surgery. He has worked SO hard and I am SO proud of him! I am so grateful for such a dedicated and hard working husband.

Cam and I before the ceremony.
Cameron's parents, me and my mom (my dad is taking the picture). Evelyn really enjoyed it, she slept through most of it :)

My college grad!

There is beauty all around...

The week before we moved we made one last trip to Temple Square. All the flowers were blooming and it was absolutely beautiful! I am going to miss being able to go down there whenever I want. It's such a beautiful and peaceful place.

Cameron took all these pictures. Turns out he is a great photographer. Someday when I have my own house I plan on blowing some of these up and framing them, they're just gorgeous.
