More Pictures

Here are just a few more random pictures from our trip.

Cameron and Zakry. I love that little boys smile! And Mikah, he smiled too!
Jakob being all happy and smiley :)
Mikah looks like he is desperate to escape, but I promise he was just smiling right before I took the picture and then right after.
Seriously, these kids LOVED that wagon!
I think one of the kids must have gotten this in a kids meal or something, it's Finger Twister. It was quit entertaining watching Cameron and Jason play it.
Zakry found the stockings and new just what to do with them...put them on his feet of course!

Cookie's for Santa

What would Christmas be without a little cookie decorating? Cameron's mom bought sugar cookie stuff to help the boys make cookies for Santa. It started out pleasant enough...but I guess you can only expect one thing from letting three little boys decorate cookies...a big mess!

Here Mikah is patiently watching grandma explain how to do it. Jakob was even patient enough to watch a demonstration on how it's done.
After they short demonstration was done Jakob went right for the sprinkles...who wouldn't? Notice that this container of sprinkles he is about to grab has 6 different kinds of sprinkles in it. Jakob HAD to put every kind of sprinkle in sight on his cookies and not just like two or three, he POURED them on. He tried to explain to him that he only needed a few on it, but he would hear none of it.
Zakry was being so cute and not getting into any trouble playing in his new wagon. (I have to mention that we opened presents on the Sunday before Christmas because that's the only time we would all be together, so we are making these cookies on Christmas eve)
And then Zakry realized we were doing something at the counter and we wanted to be in on the action. He's so good at decorating don't you think? :)
This was a gingerbread man that Jakob made. Now believe it or not, but those M&M's are strategically placed on that cookie. Megan picked up the cookie to shake off the excess sprinkles and an M&M fell off and Jakob told her that she lost one of his buttons.
Zakry then figured out that these things we were decorating was food!
I'm pretty sure Santa Clause DEVOURED these cookies! :)
A few other highlights of this cookie making extravaganza were Mikah sitting on a cookie (the yellow one Zakry is eating) and getting is pants covered in yellow frosting. And the attempt at making brown colored frosting. Gingerbread men are brown and so Jakob had to have brown frosting. It took a while, but Megan finally succeeded at creating a color close enough to brown to satisfy Jakob.

Christmas at the Burch's

We had a WONDERFUL time visiting Cameron's family for Christmas. We only wish the trip could have been longer. These are a few of the pictures from when we opened presents and had a nice little family Christmas Party.

The living room before anyone showed up...

And then the festivities began! We played this game where we read a version of the Christmas Story and every time it said 'left' or 'right' we had to pass our gift that way. It was tons of fun!Jakob kept getting passed this really heavy box (it was a box of Capri Suns) and he was starting to get really upset. After a few times of getting it he finally said "STOP PASSING ME THIS BOX!" LOL, it was so funny. So we told him to show us how mad he was...and here's the picture:

I ended up with the Capri Suns, woohoo, and Cameron got fruit snacks! Wonderful prizes if I don't say so myself :)

After the game we wanted to get a picture of the little boys in their cute Christmas outfits...Jason decided he wanted in on the action :) Cameron and Grandma Burch

This is like the 20th picture I took of them sitting in front of the tree and it's the only one of them all semi looking at the camera and smiling. What can you do though, boys will be boys. (okay this picture is HUGE and I don't know why...sorry, click on it to see it all.)

Photobucket

Zakry found the oven mits and walked around going "LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!" I think that's his favorite phrase because I heard him say it at least a hundred times in the few days we were there. But he's just so adorable so of course we all wanted to look at him :)

Zakry also found the ribbon :)

And the paper confetti...I think that was his favorite toy. He played with it for quite a while.

Mikah found the ribbon too and was a ninja!

And here's the living room after most of the presents were open.
Cameron's dad has a new hobby I guess you could call it. He goes fishing for golf balls. I think the first time he went was on Thanksgiving and I don't know that he's gone TOO many times since then and he has over 1300 golf balls I believe. So Cameron got a box FULL of golf balls (the ones in the bag are the really nice expensive ones). Mikah and Zakry got a Radio Flyer Wagon for Christmas and I don't think I have ever seen two kids more excited about anything in my life! When it was first brought out they were all excited and playing in it and I thought it would wear off after a few minutes like most toys do. But no, not this one. They played in that thing all night! And then the next two days they came over they went straight to it and just liked sitting in it and climbing in and out of it. Whoever picked that out should win a prize for getting a useful toy that the kids actually enjoy.
And then there's was Jakob's big present...his very own golf set!! The look on his face in this picture just says it all :)
Robby and Jakob showing off their new golf clubs. I think Robby and Meagan are hoping Jakob will go pro in a few years to they can retire early :)
He's so cool with his golf set and glove :) He's still got a little growing to do before they fit him though...

The Group's Christmas Party

Cameron's parents have this group of friends that they go on vacations with and do all sorts of other things with. This year was their Second Annual Christmas Party where everyone's families came and we all had fun talking and hanging out, the kids made gingerbread houses and the adults ate lots of food :) We also had a little "talent show". We decided a few hours before arriving at the party that our families "talent" would be umm...playing I guess you can call it, a Jingle Bell's on Kazoo's. I'm pretty sure every other person in that room thought we were all crazy, but we had a GREAT time!

Mikah smiling for the camera!

Jakob showing off his whistle, wait, no, that's the kazoo...I can never remember which is which.

Zakry had one too! He was better at it than I was!

Grandpa Grumpy and Jokob showing us how it's done.

I bet you've never seen a better group of Kazoo players in your life :)

And afterwards, Cameron of course had to show his nephews how to play Zelda on the piano :)

Temple Square Christmas Lights

Temple Square Lights are one of my favorite things, but this year I just didn't think I would make it to see them so Cameron went in to work early one night and took pictures of them. And of course the night he chose to go in early it snowed A LOT and was very cold. So some of the pictures are a little shaky, but I think the snow made everything more beautiful and it meant there were less people there to get in the way of the pictures :)

I hope you enjoy them, I know I did! (click on the pictures to see them bigger)

Kendal's Wedding

Cameron and I drove down to Manti, Utah, for Kendal and Lisa's big day on Saturday. I have never been to that temple before and I was seriously blown away at how beautiful it is! None of the pictures I have ever seen do it justice.

It was a beautiful day, not many clouds and no wind, but oh man, it was FREEZING! It wasn't more than 20 degrees outside, in fact, I'd be surprised if it was even that! So they didn't take pictures for very long. They took the standard family ones and group ones and then I think like ONE of them and they were done after 10 minutes. I thought poor Lisa was going to freeze to death out there.

Here they are coming out of the temple.
I had to get some shots of the temple. It looks like a castle! So pretty!

The cute couple. Lisa was FREEZING! I am surprised she could pull off a smile...A minute before this I thought she was going to cry because she was so cold. But they look so cute!

More pictures of the beautiful temple.

For anyone that has ever been to this temple you know how hard it is to get a picture of the whole thing. It's on a hill and there isn't anywhere to step back and get the whole thing, so we drove down the road and pulled off and Cameron got this awesome picture of it. This is my favorite picture of this temple I think I have ever seen.

And then we tried to get a picture of both of us in front of it... Not he prettiest picture, but it works. :)

After the wedding we drove back to Salt Lake and went to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert with The King's Singers. It was beautiful!! I'm so glad we were able to go this year because we probably won't ever get another chance. The music was so beautiful.
